Liturgical – Altar Servers

You have been called by God to be part of a very special ministry. You fulfill a very historical role. As an altar server you assist the priest in the celebration of the Mass, which is the center of our faith. You will also carry books, light candles and say prayers. Your role is to help the Mass flow smoothly and reverently, to be an active participant. Altar Servers must be at least 10 years old.

Service – Liturgical – Audio / Visual Technicians

Audio/Visual Technicians assist in the spread of the Gospel by providing technical expertise in the recording of audio and visual from weekend liturgies. These recordings are posted to the website and are available to all with interest.

Service – Liturgical – Choirs – English

Traditional (SATB) Choir

The Traditional Choir seeks to worship God by adding beauty and solemnity to the liturgy, and assists and encourages the singing of the assembly by leading the whole body of the faithful in song.

Rehearsal is Tuesday evenings from 8:00 – 9:45 pm, in the Choir Loft. We sing at the 10:00 am Liturgy every Sunday from September to June.

Contemporary Choir

The Contemporary Choir seeks to lead the assembly in the worship of our Lord at the 8:30 A.M. Sunday Liturgy, sharing our faith and talents. We’re hoping for more instruments and voices, but we don’t expect divas or professionals; just folks who care to share their faith, time, and talents.

Rehearsal is every other Tuesday from 6:45 – 8:00 P.M. in the
Choir Loft. We sing at the 8:30 am Liiturgy every Sunday from September to June.

Youth Choir

The Youth Choir seeks to lead the gathered assembly in song at the 4:30 pm Youth Liturgy each Sunday.

Service – Liturgical – Church Environment

This team prepares the worship space for daily and Sunday liturgies during each liturgical season. They purchase plants, flowers, and all decorations and maintain their appearance throughout the year. They change altar linens and clean the sacred linens used during Mass. Extra help is much appreciated and needed before major Church holidays (i.e., Christmas and Easter).

Service – Liturgical – Eucharistic Ministers

The Eucharist is the center of the Church’s life and this ministry is essential to the sacramental sharing that is the high point of the Mass. We serve at the Lord’s Table by offering the gifts of His Body and Blood to the gathered assembly.As such a Eucharistic Minister becomes a servant of Christ and a servant for the gathered assembly.

The requirements to becomean Eucharistic Minister are that you be fully initiated, be a registered parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, have a mature, reverent character and attend scheduled training and on-going formation opportunities.

Service – Liturgical – Eucharistic Ministers to the Sick

The Home Eucharistic Minister brings comfort of personal presence and prayer to the sick or home bound who often feel isolated. These ministers have proven their devotion, love and reverence to the Eucharist. The service may be as diverse as the number of ministers; bringing prayers, music, conversation and, of course, communion.
