Religious Education Program

Interested in sharing your Catholic faith with your child?

The OLPH Religious Education Program is for children in grades 1 to 8 and is conducted as an after-school program. The Program strives to not only assist our families in their child’s faith journey but to help the entire family to recognize Christ in their everyday life through people, community and events in a loving and faith sharing environment. Classes are held one day each week for 1 hour and 15 minutes during the academic year.

We begin with the basics of our faith, learning about God the Father, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Mary, and our Catholic prayers, followed by preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. The students then continue their faith journey, learning about our Catholic faith through Scripture and Tradition. After 8th grade the students will move into our Confirmation Program where they will prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation.
