Women's Ministries

Women's Ministries

"She is clothed with strength and dignity, and laughs at the days to come. She opens her mouth in wisdom; kindly instruction is on her tongue."
(Proverbs 31:25-26)
Catholic Women's Organization (CWO)
The Catholic Women's Organization strives to bring all women of the parish together as sisters in solidarity to promote parish and family living, as women of faith among the family of God here at OLPH.

Our current objectives include:
  • Promoting involvement in the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women (ACCW), especially attendance at the quarterly North San Fernando District meetings.
  • Involving all female parishioners, individually and collectively, in Catholic action programs of the church.
  • Promoting the first Saturday Monthly Devotions to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, who brings us to Christ, her Son.

Keep watching the parish bulletin for news on when we meet or host special events for the parish! We'd love for you to join. Please contact Darlene Sustento at (661) 510-3080 if you have any questions about the CWO.

Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women (ACCW)
The Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women's purpose, under the patronage of Our Lady of the Angels, is to educate in spirituality and leadership, to enable, support, and empower Catholic women to better serve the Church and community, and to serve as a link between the women of the parish and the Archbishop, the Auxiliary Bishops, the offices of the Archdiocesan Catholic Center and their programs and resources.

Every Catholic woman through her parish is a member. There is no formal membership and there are no dues nor fundraising. However, "free will" donations (which are tax deductible) are greatly appreciated as they enable us to function financially and carry out our many good works. Please visit the website linked below to learn more!

OLPH Flower Society
This beautiful ministry's mission is to bring joy to the lives of the elderly, sick, and/or homebound with donations of flower bouquets to local nursing or senior living homes. We as a group come together once a season to arrange floral arrangements that spread love and positivity. These arrangements are then dropped off the following morning to a specific nursing or senior living home.

Please see the parish bulletin or Instagram page to stay updated on when the next meeting will be. OLPH provides the vases, so all you have to do is come with a bouquet or two to share!

Healing Hands Prayer Shawl Ministry
This group of knitters and crocheters gathers together once a month to create beautiful blankets and shawls for the local hospital and its patients. These gifts provide warmth to those who are suffering and in need. Our members find community and service through the Healing Hands Prayer Shawl Ministry, and we would love to have you share your talents with us as well!

Please contact Cristy Ropp at (661) 799-7802 to join or to answer any of your questions.
