Ushers

Hospitality Ministry

"Welcome one another, then, as Christ welcomed you, for the glory of God." (Romans 15:7)

Ushers have a dual role in that they greet people as they enter the church for Mass with hospitality, and then perform usher duties. Some of those duties are guiding people to a seat, gathering the collection, and leading people to the Eucharist during the Communion Rite. They are the first face many people see in approaching the church; it is important that they are friendly, kind, and compassionate.
