The OLPH Family continues to grow every year, and we love to see children, parents, guardians, and grandparents all play a role in the community! As St. John Paul II said, "The family that prays together, stays together." We hope that every family here at Our Lady of Perpetual Help finds the spiritual nourishment and fellowship they need in order to grow together, through our various ministries and special events.

Retrouvaille Rediscovery Program

The word Retrouvaille (pronounced re-tro-vi with a long i) is a French word meaning rediscovery. The program offers tools needed to rediscover a loving marriage relationship.
"Safeguard the Children" - VIRTUS Training
It is of the highest importance at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church to maintain the safety of all minors within the parish. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles requires all volunteers, educators, and religious to complete and stay up to date on all VIRTUS training documentation. In addition, all volunteers serving with minors are required to complete a live scan fingerprinting through the archdiocese. Natural Family Planning
NFP is a way of following God's plan for achieving and/or avoiding pregnancy. It consists of ways to do so using the physical means that God has build into human nature. 

NFP consists of two distinct forms: 
  • Ecological breastfeeding - This is a form of child care that normally spaces babies about two years apart on the average.
  • Systematic NFP - This is a system that uses a woman's signs of fertility to determine the fertile and infertile times of a woman's cycle. 

Couples seeking to avoid pregnancy practice chaste abstinence during the fertile time of her cycle.
