Bereavement Ministry

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and God of all encouragement, who encourages us in our every affliction, so that we may be able to encourage those who are in any affliction with the encouragement with which we ourselves are encouraged by God."

The OLPH Bereavement Ministry trusts in the Holy Spirit to guide their work. They value humility, respect, culture, sacrifice, and authenticity, practicing solidarity, honesty, and hard work.

The ministry's purpose is to:

Console and serve family members who are coping with the aftermath of death, so that they can experience the consolation of God and the care of the parish.
Warm their hearts and welcome them into a closer relationship with Christ and His Church.
And help with planning the funeral service.
